Saiden Technologies, Inc. is now STI Polymer. The company’s management team acquired all the Saiden Technologies stock from Saiden Chemical of Japan. STI Polymer makes acrylic emulsion polymers , and under the acquisition deal the company retains full rights to their existing product portfolio. In addition, they will have access to Saiden Chemical’s technical support and extensive research and development resources. STI Polymer continues to operate out of Sanford, NC, with the same management team that has been with the plant since it opened in 2001. That team is looking to better serve customers through local ownership and greater focus. The acquisition financing also provides an opportunity for rapid expansion. STI Polymers President, Jeff Lamb, reports, “We are excited that our new freedom of action will open up the prospect of growing into new products and markets.”
