Michigan-based multinational chemicals company Dow has been named one of the “50 Companies that Care” in this year’s annual survey by global workplace culture analytics and consulting company Great Place to Work in partnership with People magazine. The aim of the survey, conducted among 4.7million US citizens, is to determine how workers see their workplace’s impact on them and their communities.

However, it’s not surprising that the list, like most things in this 2020 world, introduced a “new normal” style tweak to previous years’ surveys by broadening the questions asked in the survey and zooming in on how workers saw the companies’ they worked for in terms of their responses to Covid-19.

Dow, which came in at 31st on the list, reports that its focus this year has been on leveraging the company’s innovation and technology in order to address the most critical supply shortages such as PPE and hand sanitizers, and at the same time has provided financial contributions and donations of in-kind products to protect the overall well-being and safety of its team members.
