Cadillac is an iconic luxury auto brand founded in 1902. However, Cadillacs have come a long way since then and the company continues to innovate. In the latest model ATS sedans and all-new CTS sedans, structural adhesive and aluminum is reducing weight and cabin noise, while improving ride and handling. Reduced weight is essential for agile handling, and adhesive has helped make the CTS the lightest vehicle in its class. In addition, adhesive has a dampening effect which reduces vibrations and noises. Structural adhesive combined with precision design has helped make the new CTS sedan 40 percent stiffer than the previous model, thereby also improving safety. In total, the CTS sedan uses 387 feet of structural adhesive joining and stiffening load-bearing parts.
